Who is James Michener?

Passport photo taken in Rangoon, December 1995.

Some say he must have been running drugs across the Mekong to live the lifestyle that he did -- and still does.  Others say he is the spy who never came in from the cold.

You will be able to read about his controversial contemporary life in Southeast Asia in "Three Roses For The Lion Under The Umbrella," now being reviewed by editors at Silkworm Books.

You will also be able to read about his real and unreal life in Vietnam during the war in "Poison In The Wind," now being reviewed by editors at Tri Viet-First News (a.k.a. First News Co., Ltd.), Ho Chi Minh City, as well being considered for TV serialization by Television Film Studios, Ho Chi Minh City, the last chapter of which is called "Rooms Without Furniture" -- which is the way he lives now.

One of his wartime letters was published in "Letters From Vietnam," edited by Bill Adler.

He is Another Quiet American in "Another Quiet American," written by Brett Dakin.
